Who are we?
Rubber & Glue Media was founded by Portland, OR based musicians Angel Murauskas and Avery Barron. Together they bring a wealth of skills and experience to the table, helping other artists grow sustainable careers doing what they love.
Angel Murauskas
Angel is a lifelong community organizer and avid supporter of DIY music scenes. They plan events using disciplined organizational skills paired, with unparalleled instincts for what makes an event memorable. They understand well the difficulties of being an artist, and work to empower their clients to make bold decisions about their artistic careers - whatever form they may take. Angel pledges to serve as advocate and project partner, representing their clients' interests first and foremost in the process of planning live performances. Besides their work, Angel is an artist themselves, and enjoys gardening, photography, writing, and spending time with their family.
Avery Barron
Avery has been a musician, producer, and audio engineer for nearly two decades, working mostly with friends, collaborators, and on personal projects. She also has over a decade of experience as a creative professional, centered primarily on the web. In her spare time, she is also into gardening, photography, video production, woodworking, and being chronically awful at video games. Her combined skills and experiences allow her to structure, lead, and execute on complex creative projects. Her lifelong experience in small music scenes helps her set realistic goals and guide artists to building sustainable careers.
You're probably wondering...
How much do your services cost?
We don't have fixed costs for any of our services. We price each project according to the specific things you hire us to do, which is determined by your budget. We will always be up front about pricing when we sit down to discuss your needs.
Are you a record label?
Nope! We're a team you hire to turn your ambitions into action. This is a fundamental inversion of the record label model and is core to how we operate.
Does Rubber & Glue retain rights to my creative or intellectual property?
Not only do we not retain any rights to your work, we never gain them in the first place. We do not accept collateral as payment, which means your work will never become our property in any way.
My band is just getting started, are we a good fit for Rubber & Glue?
First off, congratulations! While there are specific exceptions, we work best with artists who have at least a year of experience performing and releasing music in their local scene. Our services are best suited for artists prepared to handle more serious growth, and while we appreciate everyone's boundless ambition, many artists underestimate what that growth entails.
If you're still unsure, please don't hesitate to fill out our contact form. We'd love to chat with you regardless!
